About us

Moscow International Choir

conductor – Sergey Sidorenko

Who we are? We are a team of amateur and professional singers who gather in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Moscow to sing classical music, jazz, rock, musicals, Russian and international folk songs and Christmas carols. We sing acapella, or with piano or orchestra accompaniment.
Our choir consists of members from different countries, so our main languages are English and Russian.
We believe that music saves the world, so we have continued to train and participate in concerts during the coronavirus pandemic; we take all necessary safety precautions.

How we train and perform
  • We usually have rehearsals on Tuesdays (7 pm) and Saturdays (11:30 am), which last about 2.5 hours.
  • We are very thankful to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church (moscowanglican.org) and particularly to its recent Chaplain, Reverend Canon Malcolm Rogers for the opportunity to conduct rehearsals and concerts in their beautiful building with fabulous acoustics.
  • We usually have a few Christmas concerts in the middle of December and a few spring concerts in May and sometimes concerts at other times of the year.
  • The rehearsal seasons start in early September and mid-January.

On June 22nd, 2021 our choir participated in the memorial concert at “Zaryadye park” in Moscow, which started on 4 am, exactly same time as WWII started for Soviet Union 80 years ago, in 1941.
